Farewell, God's Peace, and may you find yoga in every moment!

I don't like your farewells. Please leave this site up so you can come back when you are less busy.

ps. the feet in that painting are exquisite.

The thing about you is that I always know you are up to some great good when you're not here. So I'll console myself with that, hold you in my thoughts and prayers and wonder when you might drop in. Peace!

p.s. Raehan is right. A well turned ankle is a thing of beauty.

What a luscious painting that is. However did I miss seeing that one before?

I'm sorry you're too busy; please come back soon.

You know, I keep coming back here, and the only thing else I can think of to say is what Rachel used to say to me when she was two: "I'm sad at you."

E-mail me when you can.

Get on the train sometime and come see me.

You can't leave us.... gnashing of teeth, pulling hair... where will we learn our art history or obtain wisdom or sage advice and wonderful insight? Oh, woe is me......

You DO remember what happened the last time you gave up and completely shut down your blog.... those horrible sites moved in and posted those things not fit for anyone..... Come back...

Beverly said...

Oh, please come back soon. Ditto to all the above comments.

Here is something else I want to say.

The blogosphere may not be a nourishing, giving place, but this place is nourishing....and beautiful, and profound.

You have touched us, dear Belle, and you have made our lives richer.

You have a voice and a gift for teaching. I think you need to leave this space up so you can come back and do that when the spirit moves you. Your voice here is a gift.

Thank you for sharing it with us. We want that voice to always have a home here. We'll keep it warm for you.

What a gorgeous painting. I love the flow of the fabric. It looks so cool and silky.

And the mothers hand over the little girls. So tender.

Will look forward to "seeing" you again soon.

BTW, my son had another fabulous check up with his ortho doctor. He didn't even ask for us to come back....only if I see his foot changing with growth spurts.

Just look at those lovely fabrics! I know they were difficult to care for, but having beauty around is worth the effort.

I saw in the newspaper today that Ernestine Gilbreth Carey passed away. She was the author of your favorite books - Cheaper by the Dozen and Belle on her Toes - the name of your old (and wonderful!) blog.

I'll miss your blog. Also, have you seen thepioneerwoman BLOG? It"s on typepad

I am so sad you are closing down shop. Won't you reconsider, and just take a break instead? Truly, you will be missed.

Aww, come on what are you trying to do to me? You know someone with my condition can't take the ups and downs of you say goodbye to blogging and then come back. (Is it working? No? How about this?)

My poor, low self-esteem can't handle the feeling of abandonment. I will drive myself crazy wondering if it was something I did. Did I comment too much, or not enough. Were my comments not positive enough? (Is the guilt trip working?)

OK, how about I don't want to lose contact with you, friend. So at least promise to email or call. I missed you when you moved and I'll miss you when you stop writing.

I know these reasons are all about me. I'm selfish, I know. I also know you will do what is best for you and yours. :~)

Gail, Every time she quits I always wonder if it was something I did, too.

Are you feeling guilty yet, B?

OH DEAR OH DEAR OH DEAR.

This is just one of those temporary things, right?

I miss you already, Bonnie Belle.

You can't stay away forever! You CAN'T! The blogosphere needs your touch of sweet class.

I need you, too! Please come back as soon as you possibly can. We are not complete without your.

Oh, Bonnie, please don't stay away long.

While you're gone, though, I'll enjoy this gorgeous painting.

My girlfriend does yoga. I bet you didn't know that.

You're still gone? Please reconsider.....

Hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

OK, it is official. Let the groveling begin!!!! Please come back!!!

William and Mary has an art museum called the Muscarell Museum. They currently have a showing of still life paintings from the Medici collection, including a still life by my favorite... Caravaggio. I'm going to go see it before Nyssa comes home for the semester. The samples they printed in the local paper were magnificent.

I see you commented on Vicki's blog, so you must be lurking. How about a post? We miss you.

Thinking about you and your twelve days of Chistmas, dear Bonnie.

You must come here and give us the gift of a post someime this season.

Since you still will only rarely grace us with your presence here, this will have to do.

I am praying that you and your family have a warm, wonderful and blessed Christmas with love and time to enjoy all around. And may your New Year bring new joys, new opportunities, and new wonders.

Oh! I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you and now I can't come over and feel refreshed. What an absolutely stunning piece to leave us with, I truely understand having no time.

And also with you.

Beverly said...

Reading your comments on others' blogs is almost, I say, almost like reading your posts. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Dear Bernadette, What a blessing to read your post today and be inspired by the timeless paintings. Would like to know more about you. Hope you can continue to share with a desperately needy public... May our Lord richly bless you and your family.

About Me

My photo
I live on a forested mountain with my beloved husband and our large family. Less is more, except where children are concerned. My favorite pastimes are practicing yoga on my side deck, learning how to improvise on the cello, and boating into the Puget Sound with my sweetheart.
